How long before I see a return?

Owning of real estate properties is a long term commitment in which you may not see cash flow in the first 2 years. This is because new ownership may include the need to upgrade units &/or improve existing management tools to make it more efficient. Once the property value increases and is refinanced with cash out (typically after 5-6 years), the capital is used to pay back investors in which they have the option to be bought out of the deal, or they can continue to own shares of the property & collect cash flow.
